Trendsetting Groups such as Lynx and Kemo have recently been featured on BBC Radio 1 and have had their album hailed as “electronic genius” . Their new album is breathtaking and has quickly earned the status of a landmark in DnB history.

We also feature Lotus and Troy Dunnit out of Montreal and their track Nu Flava. You can watch their music video for this track below.

However, we start the mixtape off on more of a hip hop note, with a track called “fired up” by Comfort Fit. The album isn’t released yet which is why we only provide a sample for you, but be sure to keep your radar on these guys and pick up their album when it does come out. In fact, it’s worth checking out the entire Tokyo Dawn Record Label roster. They are an experimental, soul, jazz, dubstep, disco, hip-hop collective with strong roots in the early demo and netaudio scene.

Romantic Child Studios recently teamed up with MegaCity Hip Hop based out of Toronto to bring you a free mix tape made up predominantly of Canadian talent. We had hundreds of tracks submitted for this project and we’ve finally narrowed it down to 19 tracks that are sure to help expose Canada as one of the centers for Hip Hop Talent. The mix tape consists of party tracks such as the Art of Fresh song “Out This World” featuring Rochester and Toronto hip hop legend Saukrates . Peter Jackson also offers up his hit “Paper Boy” featuring another hip hop veteran; Royce Da 5’9.

The tracks from NYC include Poizon’s track “Never Had a Clue” and Cold Heat “Listen Up” which have more classic east coast sounds.

Then we have a new True Paz track entitled “Lest We Forget”. These guys are blowing up in Canada they offer a mixture of classic roots reggae, RnB and hip-hop that can be heard through the vibrant vocals of Boozie complimented by the conscious hip hop that is portrayed through the lyrics of Akim; mixed with the unpredictable selections of rock, soul, hip-hop and reggae from DJ Unknown.
