Filmmaker's Meetup
Romantic Child filmmakers meetup is an event held quarterly that allows
local filmmakers to get together to share their work. Each filmmaker is
given an opportunity to showcase and discuss their short films, feature
films, trailers, music videos, experimental videos, commercials or any
other video or film projects they have worked on. We will project
everyone's work for the other filmmakers to see. You don't need to have
something to show to attend. All experience levels are welcome.

Photographer's Meetup
Romantic Child photographers meetup is an event held quarterly that allows
local photographers to get together to share their work. Each
photographers is given an opportunity to showcase and discuss their
photographs. We will project everyone's work for the other
photographers to see. You don't need to have something to show to attend.
All experience levels are welcome.

Actors Meetup
For this meetup I want to
organize small acting groups. People of all experience levels are welcome
to join. The event is 18+ since the scripts may deal with adult subject
matter. We'll be running small scenes (3-5 minutes each) with each of the
actors.
Meetup Itinerary:
* Introductions & short lecture by a method acting teacher. We'll be
working off three scripts where small groups of actors will run through a
scene under the direction of a filmmaker. The idea is not only to practice
performance but also to expose the interpretation of subtext in a script.
We will rehearse each scene for 30-40 minutes. We'll do everything cold.
There are no sides. Just come in and be ready to work and have fun!
* After you have finished rehearsing and memorizing your lines, we'll set
up a small stage where you will be asked to perform your scene. When each
group of actors is running their scene, the other actors will be able to
watch the different interpretations of the performances. This gives actors
the opportunity to sit on the other side of the casting table giving you a
casting director's perspective. Something all actors will benefit from
being exposed to. Watch how different actors use space, gesture, engage in
dialogue and listen.
* After we're done, everyone is welcome to lounge around and chat. The
space is welcoming and warm and there is no rush to leave.
